TRUMP UNRELENTING – AT 9:16 A.M. ET:  Donald Trump is giving no ground today in his battle against Fox News, and he's not pulling back his decision to boycott the Fox-hosted debate later this week.  From The Politico: 

Donald Trump’s campaign manager gave no ground on Wednesday morning after a Fox News statement singled him out, suggesting that he threatened the network with "terrorizations" of debate co-moderator Megyn Kelly.

"You know, what we know is Megyn Kelly is totally obsessed with Mr. Trump," Corey Lewandowski told MSNBC's "Morning Joe" in a telephone interview. "She’s on show after show about why the media shouldn’t be having him on television."

Trump, Lewandowski continued, is "the best debater on the debate stage, we know this, he’s the clear winner, he has been by every debate poll that’s taken place."

"He’s not afraid to debate. I want to be very clear about this," he said. "He’s done more television, more radio, than all of the other candidates combined. And so, he’s not afraid to answer questions. He’s on your show all the time, he was on yesterday. But the bottom line is, you have people that aren’t going to be fair and ask questions the American people want to talk about, and instead they want to make this about themselves. And that’s what this is about, and it’s a shame.”

Asked about Ted Cruz's call for a one-on-one debate before Monday's caucuses in Iowa, Lewandowski said the Texas senator's campaign was not the only one to reach out asking if they could participate in the Trump campaign's event for wounded warriors and veterans on Thursday night in Des Moines.

COMMENT:  May I gently remind the Republican Party that the opponent will be a Democrat, not another Republican.  The GOP is at war with itself.  It was at war with itself in 1980, with the establishment opposing the nomination of Ronald Reagan.  Reagan won it fair and square, but the point is that he was Ronald Reagan.  We haven't got him to put things back together today, and I fear the party may throw away the best chance at victory it's had in years.
